It's time to meet Designer Leah Schaeffer!

Today we are meeting Designer Leah Schaffer and we're going to see some of her beautiful work! To see more of Leah's work be sure to visit her blog: BeeingCreativeandFeelingCherry!

GenCraft: Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Leah: Well first things first, I am a SAHM to 3 young children. They help me stay in shape by the constant cleaning up after them! LOL! My husband is a local police officer so there is a lot of excitement all around in my life! I have a large family and enjoy spending time with my 3 sisters and my niece. It is important to me to find happiness in the small things in life because it is those things that fill our days. I also really enjoy being outdoors so one of my very favorite things to do is go to flea markets, I get to be outside and shop!

GenCraft: When did you start scrapbooking/paper-crafting?

Leah: I have only seriously crafted for a few years now. It all must have been fate because I randomly came across the Cricut machine and got it for Christmas (thanks to my MIL!) even before I really understood what it did! LOL!

GenCraft: What is your favorite thing to scrap about?

Leah: My wild and crazy duo! My 4 year old daughter and 5 year old son! And lets not forget my baby boy who is turning a year old next month!

GenCraft: What is your favorite kind of project -- layouts, cards, etc?

Leah: I am just beginning to do a few altered projects but my real love is scrapbooking and card making. I couldn't do without either craft!

GenCraft: How would you describe your style?

Leah: This is a tough question for me to answer because I don't see myself as having a style. I really enjoy trying different styles, different techniques. I do love bright, fun and funky designs. I love being creative and do not worry about perfection so I feel free to try new things, whether they work out or not, is another story! LOL!

GenCraft: What inspires you to create?

Leah: The most inspirational thing to me are the creations my fellow crafters make! I love nothing more then to sit and visit blogs, crafting forums and look at gallery after gallery of projects. I am blown away with the creativity of others. I can't imagine not having the online community of friends that I have made. I love chatting with friends about a tutorial they have found or a product or tool we can't live without.

Thanks for reading all about Leah!

Imaginisce!

Hello all! Are you super-excited for the new Imaginisce i-rock? Have you seen it yet? This looks like such a fun tool, well... I guess because I love the bling so much! This tool is perfect for setting rhinestones permanently to your projects without the messy glue! The tool heats up at the tip so be sure not to touch it! The i-rock rhinestones (sold separately) are self-adhesive and with one little touch of the i-rock tool, they will adhere to your project! You can purchase the rhinestones separately in quantities of 300 or 800 (in case you REALLY like bling!) or you can purchase stencils that come not only with a stencil, but with about 100 rhinestones and some fun flowers! Now I bet you can't wait for the i-rock! Great news -- it will be in next week!

Speaking of Imaginisce... did you know that Lucy Bird was one of their most popular collections? The papers are now completely sold out from Imaginisce's website! The good news is we still have some of this great paper left! So if you didn't get it before it was too late, you can still purchase it from us AND we have it marked down to 15% off the retail price! Hurry -- it won't last long!

We also have some of the very popular To Love & Cherish collection left! The perfect black-and-white collection for weddings, anniversary, graduation, the list goes on! I love to add a pop of color with my black-and-white papers! Just check out what I did with these cards:

The color paper is Basic Grey Green At Heart: Basil, Sage and Basic Grey Kioshi: Camelia (back). I also added some Prima Flowers and Bling, Bo Bunny Rub-Ons and Kaisercraft Bling from my stash.

We also are expecting the fun Splash Dance collection next week as well as the i-top Badge and Button Daddies! Holy cow -- it's a week of all new products!

Don't forget about our Memorial Day Sale -- all the info will be posted real soon!

Crazy May

Hello all! It's been a crazy month around here! This is my kids last week of school and we've had nothing but assemblies, talent shows, parties... I'm sure you can all relate! I just wanted to quickly let you know that the 2 new Basic Grey Class Kits are in stock and ready to ship! These kits are great and you get so many extra goodies! Be sure to get your hands on them before they're gone!

Basic Grey Class Kit - Stamping Value Card Kit

Basic Grey Class Kit - The Sweet Days of Summer Mini-Album

We are also gearing up for our HUGE -- repeat that -- HUGE Memorial Day sale. Trust me, you are not going to want to miss it! The sale will start soon - be watching those in-boxes for all the details!

I also wanted to share a quick project that my mom made. She's tapering down her work schedule in preparation for retirement and has been keeping busy with the grandkids and crafting (of course!) It must be a family thing, because she loves to alter just about whatever she gets her hands on! You know I'm the same way, so the apple didn't fall too far from that tree! Check out this neat altered clipboard she made!

Altered Clipboard by Grandma Lori

Close-up of that gorgeous Prima Flower:

Grandma used Basic Grey paper (Scarlet's Letter - I think), packaging (the red dots paper), Prima Flowers, ribbon, chipboard letters and dimensional stickers from her stash.

Okay, this one had to be short. I've got thank you's to make for teachers, more assembly's to go to, and of course I need to get ready for tons of NEW products coming in this week and next!
