Finally Friday!

TGIF!!! Did you know that we have a new team member here at Generations Crafting? We do! Her name is Jeanette Morgan! She started out as a local customer and now she helps out in the store. She creates such beautiful projects! Just wait until you see all of her work!

Jeanette creates custom paper bag albums for her customers, but she was over the other day and saw one of the frames that I had made for Christmas and decided she wanted to try one out! Isn't it funny how that works? I had actually gotten the "frame bug" from Designer Teri Berrios who has been creating some beautiful frames for Christmas gifts! Remember this one:

More detail in the gallery.

Teri's frame inspired me to create this one:

And my frame inspired Jeanette to create this one:

Isn't it Friday yet?

Happy Thursday! Whew... it's been a long week! It's almost over and time for some much needed rest! That Halloween Party really took it out of me!

Today we have a little inspiration from yours truly and Grandma. I don't often have time to make projects, that is why I have a design team, but I really do miss it after a while! I just need to get in there and make something - it's therapy for me! I played with the new Glitz Hoopla collection and made some fun home decor projects in the never-ending pursuit of getting my house decorated! LOL! Take a look:

Glitz Hoopla Home Decor by GenCraft

The canvas is Kaisercraft. I painted the edges black and let dry before I started. I used Glitz Hoopla: Cake and Floral as well as some Paper Layers, Whatnots and Cardstock Stickers. I added in some Prima Bling and Flowers and a Queen & Co. Felt Border. I love the way this one turned out! Here is the other one:

The canvas again is Kaisercraft. I used Glitz Hoopla: Frames, Pipework and Polka as well as Paper Layers and Whatnots. I also added in some Prima Flowers and a Queen & Co. Felt Border. I like this one, too and can't wait to hang them up in my house somewhere!

Now for a little inspiration from Grandma. Do you remember a while back when I told you Grandma Lori was losing weight? Well, she did it! She lost 65 pounds and made an album of her weight loss journey! I snapped a few pictures of her album because I thought it was so inspiring - in lots of ways! Take a look:

Up, Up and a Weigh - My Diet Journey by Grandma Lori

I just love all of her clever little phrases!

I love this page! She did it and is jumping for joy! I had to skip a few pages, because Grandma didn't want me to show you all pictures of her in her heavier days, but... I found a nice little before and after picture that I'm putting on here and she can't stop me! LOL!

Bewitched Country Girl by Leah Schaeffer

Leah also used the Glitz Love Nest collection for this darling layout! She used Glitz Love Nest: Polka, Stripe, Damask and Block along with some other items from her stash. I love how Leah made her title! Super cute and I really love the versatility of all of the Glitz collections!

November 1

Greetings, happy Monday and happy November! Can you believe it's the first of November - already? Wow!

Today we have some Glitz Design inspiration for you from two of our designers. Let's take a look:

Gift Set by Teri Berrios

Teri used Glitz Scarlett Polka and Bouquet as well as some Prima Say It In Crystals for this fun set. She also used Tim Holtz Distress ink, lace trim, a dress form stamp, roses, starburst spray and cardstock from her stash. I adore the colors Teri picked for this set! Beautiful!

The best thing about Glitz Design papers is not only the added distressing, but the amazing versatility of each collection. All 6 sheets in each collection are double-sided and offer such a great variety of designs and color palettes. For example, Designers Teri Berrios and Sandi Clarkson used the same exact collection, yet their projects look so different they could be from two different collections! Take a look at Sandi's layout:

Mystery Solved by Sandi Clarkson

Sandi used the Glitz Scarlett - Bouquet paper on this gorgeous layout. She also used Prima Say It In Crystals Vintage Frame 1, Prima Roses, Webster's Pages Bloomers and various bling, feathers and punches from her stash. I love how Sandi added those teal Prima flowers and Webster's Pages Bloomers to her layout. They add such a nice pop of color against all the black.

See what I mean about the versatility of the collection? Glitz does this with each one of their collections and it offers so much more "bang for your buck!"

Now for the winner of our Prima Flower Giveaway! Congratulations to:
