So most of us have been back in school for some time now, but we still need card and project ideas using all of these great back to school collections! Designer Leah Schaeffer has made a couple of fun cards using the Bo Bunny Cambridge collection. Take a look:

Monday!

Happy Monday morning! Hope you had a great weekend! I want to start off with a huge Thank You to Christina Thomas! She recently posted her haul from our store on her blog: Creations With Christina with her referral code! Be sure to stop by and check her out! She has tons of great ideas, tutorials and more! Now, because Christina sent us so much business over the weekend, we are running a bit behind on shipping. We should be completely caught up in a couple of days! We appreciate your patience while we get caught up.

Now for some Monday Inspiration. Designer Teri Berrios has a gorgeous layout for us today using some Graphic 45 Le Romantique paper and some Prima Flowers and Pearls. Take a look:

'Mom & Me' by Teri Berrios

I simply adore these colors! Love the title, flowers and pearls - they make the whole layout so elegant! Here are some close-ups:

The large center flower was hand-made by one of Teri's friends. Isn't it just gorgeous?!

See the outline of what looks like a border punch strip under the picture and above the flowers? That is actually the packaging from some Prima Flowers! What a great way to recycle! Great work, Teri!

Don't forget, for more info and detail on this layout be sure to check Teri's blog or our gallery!

More Steampunk Inspiration

It's Friday, it's Friday... I'm doing a little dance, you just can't see me! :o)

Designer Sandi Clarkson has been hard at work and created another layout using the Graphic 45 Steampunk collection! The theme of this layout is a little more general and her layout is absolutely gorgeous, as usual! Take a look:

'Daddy's Girl' by Sandi Clarkson

Wow!!! I don't know where to begin! Gorgeous colors, great detail work with all the fussy-cutting and a beautiful girl! What's not to love about this layout?! I love how Sandi layered the frames around the picture of her darling daughter. The mask of the lamp post is priceless and I love how she did the title with her Cricut. Great work, Sandi!

Don't forget, for more detail of this layout and to see more of Sandi's work visit her blog: Soft Side of Sandi!

Have a wonderful weekend and join us back here next week for more inspiration and maybe a fun new giveaway!

Steampunk?!

Happy Thursday! I've been super-busy getting all the Basic Grey ready to ship! The good news is that it's ready! Hurry, though! These collections are amazing and will sell out fast! Quantities are limited so get your hands on some before they're gone!!!

Maybe I didn't pay much attention in American History in High School, but I had no idea what Steampunk meant. Designer Sandi Clarkson has not only created a beautiful layout using the Graphic 45 Steampunk collection, but she has given me a history lesson as well! Take a look at her gorgeous work:

'Engine 638' by Sandi Clarkson

Sandi wanted to "embody the concept of Steampunk, which is to glorify the mechanisms of machinery prior to the electrical age. Not the finished product or what they can accomplish but the beauty of their working parts" (there's my history lesson!) What a fantastic job she did in not only putting together a gorgeous layout, but also giving meaning to such fantastic photos of that steam engine!

I love all the detail Sandi added to this layout! The gears and the diamond dust on the tags are a nice touch! And... I'm in love with that Attic Lamp Post!

Stay-tuned tomorrow for more of Sandi's work using the Steampunk collection!

'Happy Birthday' by Teri Berrios

Teri used the Confetti paper with some Party Time Rub-ons. Love the gift from Surprise with the bow on top! Let's not forget about the bling she added with her i-rock!

Home Decor Project

Happy Thursday everyone! I've been on this home decor kick lately! Remember my frame and my coasters? We've lived in our new house for about a year-and-a-half now and I'm tired of white walls and no touches of, well...me! So I've been trying to add in some color and decorations where ever I can. We are still going to have to paint eventually, but for now I figure this will do!

I made these little storage drawers with some super-colorful Imaginisce Lucy Bird papers. I'm not sure if I want to give this to one of my girls or keep it for myself! lol!!! I love the way it turned out! Take a look:

Home Decor Project by GenCraft (Floren)

The drawers are Kaisercraft Storage Drawers. I painted all the wood a bright pink color and let dry before covering with paper. I love the fact that this project was just measure and cut - no tracing or fussy-cutting on this one!!! The hardest part of this project was assembling the drawers. All of the wood and drawers come folded flat, so you have to assemble the whole thing. The drawers are chipboard and have to be glued together with a pretty strong glue.

I let the paper "do the talking" on this project and didn't add a lot of fun embellishments to it. I did add in some Webster's Pages Sparklers as decorative knobs for my drawers though! I thought it would be a nice touch!

I also decided to line the inside of the drawers just in case I wanted to make this something useful instead of purely decorative! I will probably have to apply a coat of diamond glaze to make sure the paper doesn't rip or stain.

Well, that's it! I've been working on even more home decor projects and I will share them with you when they're done!

Design Team Inspiration

Happy Wednesday! Today we have a little inspiration for you from a couple of our fabulous designers! Teri Berrios and Sandi Clarkson have created two beautiful layouts for your viewing pleasure! Take a look:

Got It! by Designer Sandi Clarkson

Sandi had one last photo of her granddaughter Malerie's graduation and put this layout together using some Webster's Pages: Postcards in Paris, Romantique Chic and Belle Rose and Life's Portrait: Reflections and Love Yourself. She did lots of fussy cutting on this one and finished it off with a Prima Say it Crystals in black and a flower from her stash. She also used some Burnt Red Glimmer Mist on the background paper. What a neat idea - I love the effect!

Grateful 4 U Double-Page Layout by Designer Teri Berrios

Teri created this layout of her niece and her children using some of the beautiful Bo Bunny Flutter Butter collection! She also added in some Prima Bling and Lace. That hand-made yellow flower on page two is GORGEOUS!!!

Be sure to check out both Sandi's blog and Teri's blog for more details on these layouts and to see more of their fabulous work!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my daughter's birthday! Holy cow, where has the time gone? Any of you mom's out there feel the same way I do when birthday's roll around? I start thinking about the day she was born and all the time in between and then I think how fast it has gone by. I get so darn sentimental I just want to cry!

Well, enough of that! Here are a couple of cards I made for her using more of the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders and the gorgeous Basic Grey Lemonade collection. I absolutely love the colors in this collection and thought they would be perfect for a summer birthday!

Sweet by GenCraft (Floren)

For this card I used the Cuttlebug Once Upon A Princess Set. After all, my daughter firmly believes she is a princess! LOL! The card is the full 5x7. I usually don't make 5x7 cards, but it worked perfectly with the flower from the Basic Grey Lemonade Element Stickers! Before I applied the sticker, I ran some chalk over the raised cupcakes to help them stand out a bit. I added in some bling to the flower sticker and that's it!

16 by GenCraft (Floren)

I used the same Cuttlebug Embossing Set for this card. I made this card 5x5 and added in some layers with different Basic Grey Lemonade papers. I ran some chalk over the embossed butterflies to bring them out. The sticker border under the '16' is from the Basic Grey Lemonade Element Stickers. I added some Stickles to the '16' and now I have another quick card!

Thanks everyone for all your wonderful comments about my cards on Friday! Now for the winner of our Cuttlebug Embossing Folder!

Congratulations
to:

Maureen Reiss

Love that xmas card, soooo beautiful!! Thanks for the giveaway!!

Send us an email within 7 days with your shipping address and we will send out your Cuttlebug Embossing Folder!

Cuttlebug Embossing Folders

I'm not even going to mention what day it is! If you are a normal blog follower, you are probably tired of hearing it by now! Oh, what the heck... YAY, it's Friday!!!!!

Did you know that we carry Cuttlebug Embossing Folders? Yes, we do and we plan to start carrying some of the Tim Holtz and Basic Grey Embossing Folders from Sizzix! If you haven't had a chance to play with these, you should give it a try! I absolutely love them! The embossing adds so much texture and depth to a variety of projects!

I mostly use them for creating cards, but they can be used as elements on layouts and for making your own embellishments! We've received some of the new Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Sets and I had a chance to play with a couple of them. I made two quick cards to get ready for the upcoming holidays. Check them out:

Time For Treats Card by Me (Floren)!

I used the Cuttlebug Mini Monsters Set for this card. I thought the candy background would be perfect! I embossed a piece of Core'dinations Black Magic paper and rubbed it with a file to bring out the design. The sticker is left over from last years Bo Bunny Boo Crew collection.

Joy of Christmas Card by Me (Floren)!

For this card I used the Cuttlebug Heritage Set. I simply love that frame and have a feeling you will be seeing this design a lot more on my cards! The paper is a simple white linen paper. I stamped my sentiment and put some Prima Flowers and Leaves in the bottom corner. I also added some Basic Grey Bling around my sentiment. Sorry the colors are a bit off. Here is a closer look:

It's hard to tell, but the bling and flower center are more of a bright red. I'm still not sure how to fix the colors in Photoshop. Hey, at least my pictures are turning out a little better! LOL!

I just love these Embossing Folders! The great thing about the sets is that you get 4 folders - two 5x7 and two A2 size (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). We also sell Cuttlebug singles if you don't need that many or just want to try them out! They are super economical and very easy to use!

What's that you say? A giveaway? Okay, you've talked me into it! You know the drill: leave me a comment by Sunday at 11:59 pm and you will be entered into a drawing to win a Cuttlebug single folder! We'll have a random drawing and announce the winner on Monday, August 16.

Please be aware that you will need some kind of an embossing machine in order to use these folders. I have the little Sizzix embossing machine, but they can be used with a Cuttlebug machine, a Sizzix Big Shot or some other roller type machine and I believe they can also be used with the Spellbinders machine as well. Good luck!!!

Happy Weekend!
